Patient Stories

These are individual experiences. Results vary from person to person, and what worked for one patient may not be right for you.

“I have been attending this practice for years for the physio and hydrotherapy. If I didn’t have to move out of the area, I would keep going! Each practitioner is not only well trained, but also will seek out more knowledge on complex pains, and for learning new techniques to treat them. They adapt your plan for each pain (I’ve got numerous complex issues, so I really appreciate their understanding!), easy with the access to the gym and pool at Thornleigh. Also the admin staff are very kind and helpful in working around anything that interrupts appointments like random chronic pain. Every staff member I’ve dealt with has been wonderful! The whole practice dedicates themselves to working for you and what your goals are for your body in reducing or eliminating pain.”

“This is a review for Neeta at the Thornleigh practice. She was incredibly helpful and caring. She provided excellent service and I felt reassured during my vestibular physio sessions. Thank you Neeta.”

A Ahern

“I can’t recommend Nickeel highly enough! I had been dealing with persistent pain in my left shoulder for quite a while, and nothing seemed to make a lasting difference. After several treatment sessions with Nickeel, using dry needling and manual therapy, my shoulder has now completely recovered. Not only is he highly skilled and knowledgeable, but he also has a great sense of humor that makes every session enjoyable and relaxing. He takes the time to understand the problem, explains the treatment clearly, and genuinely cares about helping his patients recover.”

Before you book

General information only — not a substitute for individual medical advice.

We offer on-the-spot private health insurance claims at each clinic through the HICAPS system. We can also provide a receipt for you to claim a rebate through your private health insurer after your appointment. The exact gap amount you pay depends on your level of extras cover — check with your insurer to confirm rebate amounts.

If your GP has issued you a Chronic Disease Management Plan or an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) before your appointment, Medicare funding can subsidise your treatment for a limited number of appointments. Your GP determines your eligibility for this. You will be required to pay for your appointment in full on the day and we will submit your Medicare claim on your behalf. Medicare will rebate a portion of the fee, typically within 48 hours but it can take up to 7 days to process. You cannot claim through both private health insurance and a Medicare CDM plan for the same visit.

Let us know as early as you can so the time can be offered to another patient. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice for most services, 48 hours for vestibular physiotherapy) and no-shows attract a fee, which is usually payable by the patient even under compensable schemes such as DVA or WorkCover.

No. You can book directly with any of our clinicians. If your symptoms suggest another medical condition requires further assessment, we’ll work closely with your GP or specialist to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
